Dear Friends, http://clothesthatwork.org/wp-admin/includes/plugin.php

With the beautiful fall season right around the corner, Healing Hearts for Community Development is kicking off its drug prevention services in area schools.  Our trained facilitators, with the guidance of our Prevention Coordinator, Mitch Bryant, will be teaching Too Good for Drugs and Life Skills Training in Orleans and Jefferson Parish schools.  Mitch will also be working with trained youth to reduce the sale of tobacco products to minors through the Synar project.

The Celebration Hope Center is in the midst of implementing their new electronic health records system through Dr. Cloud.  This system will enable our clients to use their personal insurance coverage in a much larger and efficient way.

But the most exciting event of the fall season is our 6th Annual Jazzy Night Gala which will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015, 6:30-9:30 at Celebration Church.

Trumpet PlayerDwight Fitch and his Jazz Combo will provide the entertainment.  Some of New Orleans’ best restaurants will be sharing a variety of amazing dishes throughout the evening.  Live auction items include relaxing get-aways, Saints and Pelican items and a framed Blue Dog print commemorating the 10th Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.  There will also be many great silent auction items as well.

If you or someone you know would like to sponsor this event, there is still time to do so.  Your business will be recognized in the HHCD Magazine distributed the night of the Gala and then at 10 area grocery stores.  Please contact Sandy Schule, our Event Coordinator, at 504-512-1268 or via email at sschule@bellsouth.net.  Donations of auction items would also be appreciated.

Tickets are $50, or 2 for $85 until October 11th. They may be purchased on the HHCD website at healingheartsnola.org or at the Celebration Church Bookstore and Celebration Hope Center.

We hope that you will be able to come to the Jazzy Night Gala and support HHCD as it reaches out into our communities to accomplish its vision of providing help, hope, and healing through faith-based professional counseling, life skills training, and human development.

May the Lord richly bless you and your families in the days ahead.

We are so excited to share that the Celebration Hope Center counselors have been blessed to see God performing numerous miracles in healing marriages usingEmotionally Focused Therapy.  Although relatively new, Emotionally Focused Therapy is the most effective modality for working with couples.  Research studies find that 70-75% of couples move from distress to recovery and approximately 90% show significant improvements.  Instead of focusing on the marital conflicts, the EFT therapist helps the couples understand what they need to do to fix the problems.  Through EFT, couples are able to experience intimacy in profound new ways that permanently changes the marriage relationship.  Please call the Hope Center at(504) 833-4673 if you think EFT could help your marriage grow stronger.

Looking forward to seeing you at Jazzy Night on November 6.  It will be a great night of fun, good food, and inspiration.

May the Lord bless you and yours.
